Well, this very page shows what most American Christian women would consider modest. Most women, in my neck of the woods at least, wear somewhat more revealing clothing (except for the few weeks of the year we get down below 15°C).

I'd be surprised if they even made up 1% of the population, 2% at the very most. Apart from the few Amish I'd run into when I lived in the Pennsylvania area, no woman I know would be caught dead in such clothes. Going out in public like this will likely cause people to stare and/or ridicule (unless it's Halloween, or Mardi Gras in my area, then they'll think it's a costume).
The best way to judge what's deemed "modest dress" by the vast majority of people in the US is to download some episodes of Network TV series, particularly sitcoms.
