My question regarded those American Christians who belong to more conservative churches / denominations. As I wrote in my first post: while browsing the net, I found that some of those conservative Christians have some very strong opinions on clothing, modesty etc. What interested me was *how many* of Christians in the States share those opinions - I didn't want to imply that *all* of American Christians wear that way. I realize we're most probably talking about a minority view - but I'm curious about the size of that minority...

Hope that clears things up... Anyway, I didn't want to offend or annoy anybody - if it looked that way, please accept my apologies.

I can't really give you any percentages (unless you want me to make something up). Best guess, there are probably less than 1 million people that are members of a specific Christian faith that believe that type of dress is proper, and I doubt that number would double if you added people outside of those faiths that also believe that type of dress is proper. And of the total number of people that believe that type of dress is proper, I would say the majority is male.
