:) First, I wasn't offended at all. I had no problem with you posting the story (even if it was totally sickening--that was your point, right?) I was simply giving my reaction to it.
Second, maybe I read the story too fast (I stumbled across it even before you posted it) but I don't think this *is* a multiple homicide. One person was killed. Horrible and tragic, of course, but not worth national news. Not any more so than whacked out person who, in a custody dispute, kills the children so the other spouse can't have them. Also horrible and inexcusable and sad, but (alas) not worth national news coverage.
Just so the distinction isn't lost in the posts: don't forget, I'm talking about this warranting taking up *national* press. IMO, it simply lacks the scope for that. If you are saying it should be reported as a *local* story (where people actually know both the parties involved) I have no objection to that at all.
