In case anyone missed it Warner announced it was going strictly to Blu Ray a few days ago. It was the last major studio to make a decision and it get Blu Ray a big boost.

The rest is still unconfirmed rumors but it sounds like a lot of the other major studios left with HD-DVD may want to switch.

In the long run I think Blu Ray probably would be the way to go but I think its going to take awhile for them to take off. They have more memory capacity than the HD-DVD's but I think they're a little more expensive to produce. Eventually I'm sure like all electronics they'll start getting cheaper to produce and become more affordable. I can wait. I'm in no hurry to buy one. My standard DVD player works for me. \:\)

I refuse to buy any 'clearer' format, it's clear enough for me on DVD. Also, at this point, I try to buy mostly US made, or at least assembled in US/Canada/Japan, no more Chinese products, so when I buy a Pioneer of Magnavox TV at Best Buy, I've looked, I found two models. It;s time to stop the insanity of buying 'high-end' tech made by slave labor. Same should happen for toys.
