> so, due to the fact that i'm a game junkie (PS3 and XBox 360 owner), as well as the fact that i'm feeling the years creep up on me and i tend to spend more time in the house watching movies than i did a few years ago, i've been thinking about building me a home theater, starting with an HDTV. i just ran into an old co-worker of mine, who was giving me some advice as to which brand and what kind of HDTV i should go with. he suggested i go with either Sony, Samsung or Sharp (in that order of quality). while he said Plasma was the newer albeit more expensive tech, he also said it has its drawback (namely screen glare) when compared to LCD, which is cheaper. i've been seeing a brand of HDTVs at Sam's Club and Walmart called (and forgive the spelling) Vizio. they're really cheap compared to other HDTV brands, but by eye comparison they don't seem of quite equal quality. i'm working towards having a $1300 budget for an HDTV. what do you think i should go with?
