I'm not sure if they can be counted as true atheists because it seems like they may be likely to change their mind back. Plus, if they are mad at God, don't they at some level have to believe there *is* a God to be mad at?

OK, I'm an atheist. It's pretty simple. I don't believe in a god or gods. I'm not Christian or Buddhist or Muslim or Jewish. The reason why I don't believe in any god is, well, there's nothing that I've found that makes me think that there is one. I understand that a lot of atheists seem angry at religious people. I wouldn't call myself angry, mostly confused by people who have extremely specific beliefs. I really don't get it, but it's not my problem so I don't worry about it. I'm not what you'd call an evangelical atheist, because I don't expect to convince anyone of anything. So, there you are. I do get a little touchy when I see people trying to blur the church/state line, but I think that sort of thing makes most religious people uncomfortable as well.
