> In one of my earlier posts I mentiond how sometimes the law can actually backfire on the innocent and In later posts the word Vigilante came up and I have to say if a lone vigilante can do what the police and the law fails to do then I would give him a medal....For example:
> A rapist/killer gets away with his crime because the cop that arrested him made a mistake during his arrest, two days later news reports say how the killer rapist was found dead in an alley.... This is obviously the work of the vigilante, so do you condem the vigilante or praise him for saving future victims from that killer rapist?

On one hand such vigilante behavior can quickly and easily escalate and get out of hand creating the very problems it was meant to solve. On the other hand succeeding where the law failed to stop a criminal like that should be applauded.
