McCain has always been hilarious. It's part of what made his past runs at high office fail - he was simply too honest and brazen in jokes and actual beliefs. For this race, he has buttoned down and lost nearly everything I liked about him for the years when he was a regular fixture on Daily Show, condemned the right wing bigots that call themselves religious leaders, etc.

To me he was definitely the funnier of the two at this dinner - because this is what he's best at. Obama's inspirational, but to be honest he's usually not that funny. He was still good though, and I think everyone agrees what his best joke was. \:\) The competition was closer than I thought it was be. Both did very well!

And YES this was a competition! According to me, at least. \:D

If only McCain could be this cool for the whole campaign (though then he'd probably lose the nomination again).



I hope I didn't make this thread negative, that really wasn't my intent - I was actually just so happy to see the McCain I used to "know" - and I've realized many people aren't aware that he even existed in the first place, which is too bad.
