In this case though, the damage comes from the decisions they take in their actions. So the actions that they take would damage their soul as well as their mind.
While your point is a good one, what I was talking about was an entirely different scenerio.
In the instances that I mention... birth defects, disabilities... these simply happen. If someone was in a car accident, and became brain damaged from it, would the soul be damaged?
If someone were ruotinely abused (physically, mentally, etc) as they grew up, and their mind became damaged from this regular mental and emotional trauma... I don't believe that something like a soul would be affected.
