When you accept that free will does not exist, what is the point to continued existance . . . I personally think the fact that I can ask that question, and consider things that are not physical implies the existance of the non-physical.

The very concept of free will destroys any credibility in an omniscient/divine being.
See, if god were truly all knowing, and everything from the beginning of time to the end of time is known to Him... and everything that you will ever do was preordained billions of years before you ever existed, then there is NO free will. The very concept of hell would be hypocritical because God would be condemning you for eternity for actions that He preordained.
If free will is real, and you have total control over every choice that you make... then there is no preordained destination, and there cannot possibly be such an omniscient being, as He would have no idea what you are doing next, and He would not actually be all-knowing.

What chemical / evolutionary advantage is there to a fantasy?

It's a security blanket... one that is slowly but surely getting phased out with each passing generation... just as a child outgrows their own security blanket as the gain more maturity with each passing year.
There really is no "advantage" brought about by religion. There was a time that people used it to explain the goings on of the world around them. It began with Animism, and moved up the chain from there. Eventually though, it was organized, and turned into a tool to control people.
As mankind has become more developed, kingdoms are being replaced with governments, religion is being replaced with knowledge and self-empowerment.
We don't need a king telling us "God said do this... God said don't do this!"
