You used the word "excuse" so I take it that you don't buy that reasoning. I understand the thought process behind some blacks use of the word, I personally don't believe in it because it gives people that hate us an inroad to criticize.

To me the Confederate flag is a symbol of oppression, slavery, and everything that was wrong with the south and in some ways still is. Try telling a holocaust survivor or a child of one that a swastika means something more than torture and death.

Me, personally I can't see past what the flag represents to me, now do I want it banned? No. like i said I personally like knowing who my enemies are
