OK explain this one to me, how is it that the same people who are generally opposed to people of Mexican decent flying the mexican flag in the u.s. ok with the flying of the confederate flag?

So Far Mexico was never a U.S. State.

some southwestern U.S. States were once Mexican. Texas. California. Arizona, New Mexico. Maybe it would be acceptable to fly the Mexican flag there.

U.S. crackers, hicks, and rednecks immigrated into Mexican-Texas en-masse. They wanted to secede from Mexico because Mexico outlawed slavery. The first act of the new Republic of Texas was to guarantee slavery, outlaw the freeing of slaves in Texas, and call for the systematic elimination of native americans.
