Do you have a different impression if the cop is easy to see, or is in a partially/totally obscured possition?
I personally believe that it is a revenue getting scheme that has nothing to do with public safety if it was something different then they would not hide in the bushes and set speed traps in poor communitys only. Ironically I have never seen a speed trap set up in River Oaks(an exclusive section of Houston). Just my opinion.
