Which is why I wasn't comparing the two. I was saying that despite some extremely annoying tendencies on the left, such as screaming that everything on the right is bad, (thanks for illustrating the point, btw), that I can't take republican ideas seriously.

I see, so a purely antagonistic relationship at the moment then? You are pointing out flaws in him. In my experience he is very one sided and usually oversimplified.

And I am not sure where you are getting that I think every view by the political right is bad. I think this guy has no legs to stand on, with his history and these statements as well. You seem to agree.

Because I agree with you apparently I am now dismiss able. I am sorry I agreed with you.

You're sorry you agreed with me so now you no longer agree?

My point is, there are a lot of people, myself included who are on your side in many things and might be pursuaded by you for others. But not if you talk down to them.

I'm not dismissing you but trying to illustrate (poorly, I guess) how it is that telling people "I'm very concerned by how easily you are pusuaded" is not a good way to influence people.

Anyway, if you want to pack up your toys and leave the conversation I'll understand. No hard feelings.
