    They are brainwashed goons.

Couldn't one argue from another political maxim if one was considering this route?

For instance, many that are most angry about PC culture would be those with fairly angry speech that has been marginalized by society. They say it, but most people do not care. With goals of marginalization of some group.

Is it marxist to say exclude extreme racism from discussions etc?

Nor do I think that shooting for equality is a Marist ideal. I agree that PC can and has gone too far at times, but I see as much problem with the backlash against it as anything.

There are many good books on the Frankfurt School and how Marxist thought spread and became what it is today - political correctness.

I disagree that it is a modern invention at all. To my mind PC as such is not being a jerk to other people.

Sometimes one does have to say something that may hurt somebodies feelings but a person being an utter jerk just to be one.

I have seen the SJW used as much to shut down speech on various online forums as you are claiming the other side does. I am not sure any is useful, but at present it seems to be the answer to the race card.

Between that and the term snowflake they are the go to ways to dismiss anything not agreed with.
