      A) There are plenty of minorities and women who work hard for what they have. I hail from southern (Mississippi) grandparents and parents who worked multiple jobs just to put food on the table, in part because they were forced into poverty by a system that, for a while, shackled them to inferior educational systems, and didn't even allow them to vote on policy that effected their livelihoods.

Did I say minorities? Your assuming that. I am referring to any and all. There are many types of minorities if you want to bring that up.

    B) I'd be willing to bet that these "more qualified" people lose out just as much to rich people who use their money and influence to game the system for the benefit of their unqualified sons and daughters, than to Affirmative Action. I imagine that some of the people who think we got our first black President because of the latter, probably tripped over themselves to vote for the man whose success is largely attributed to the former.

Did I mention Affirmative Action? Nepotism is indeed a huge and very bad issue. I am referring to all such forms. Not one in particular.
