I am not sure I agree. AS the right is in the same state of denial one would say the left is in. There are entire books rewriting history from a conservative point of view. Not leaning one way or another but re writing history or events in that way.

Much of the time those with left leaning views are beaten over the head with they need to be accepting of some awful positions. In my experience it is not as true the other way.
