They could solve a lot of problems if they stopped thinking of themselves as North Koreans and starting thinking of themselves as Koreans.

The problem exists in the south, as well. Many South Koreans are starting to consider themselves South Koreans. Even the language is starting to fracture. The longer they remain separate, the further they will divide.
