Your personality, experience and any skills you have acquired goes back in time to when you were 12.

Would you be grateful for this offer? You are aware of everything that will happen in between when you were 12 and now. Obviously depending on any actions you take, would impact on further developments.

Lets say you stop 9/11, this could then impact on the Iraq War etc.

I for example would still do my degree, but almost certainly wouldn't join the army. I would probably take the chance and spend the day with that blonde on the train, what about you?

I'm not quite sure how I'd feel about this. Naturally I'd use the opportunity to correct various negatives, like putting an effort into school instead of doing the minimal to get by. Perhaps the biggest thing I'd do is go off to college straight from high-school (trying to pursue a degree as a working adult sucks), and I'd dive headfirst into the field of astrophysics. I wouldn't run up so much unnecessary debt. There's one particular ex I'd avoid like the plague, and run from till my soles bled if I were to ever randomly encounter her.

There's a mound of things I'd try to do to influence the lives of my family and loved ones though, probably way too many for me to list here.

That said, there was just as much good in my child/young-adulthood as their was bad, and part of what made that good good was the novelty of experience. Plus, I'm not sure how I'd be able to cope knowing that I had a wife and kids I probably won't ever see again.

And I wouldn't make much of an attempt to change world-changing events, mainly because I don't see how I could. Any forewarning about 9/11, for instance, would probably just end in me being carted to jail on suspicion, or to the nuthouse for mental evaluation.
