All humanity is wicked in the sense that we all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God, unless you can claim sinless perfection?

I'll tell you what... There's not one infant anywhere in the world - NOT ONE - who is anything less than completely innocent, completely free of sin. A book that tells us that infants are guilty of the sins of their distant ancestors and should be punished for it is an inherently evil work. I can't imagine how skewed and warped a person's moral compass has to be to believe in that.

The Bible was inspired by God unto us thru a process of some 1500 years, over 40 authors, and yet the same basic message is carried throughout, namely, that God would one day send the Messiah to earth to redeem sinners by!

Nope. The messiah was a great and powerful man, either a king, a priest, a warrior or a combination of the three who would lead the Jewish people to victory, kick the invaders out of Israel and be a great leader all his days. The messiah was never once portrayed in the OT as someone who'd get his arse handed to him by his enemies, be totally humiliated and murdered.

It's a different message, not even 'basically' the same.

And one can love a person, and yet also hate their behavior, for we do not state that child molesters and murderers and others of that ilk have to have their actions condoned, right?

Then why on Earth are characters like Abraham and Moses so revered? Just looking at the stories of those two men you can find instances where they commit, condone, or cause to be committed acts of child abuse, murder, rape, slavery, misogyny, homophobia and last but by no means least...genocide.

These characters should be reviled.
