    If someone does something very bad, but they are a fantastic performer, can you both admire them and destest them?

    Harvey Weinstein - ugly inside and out, somehow it's easier to see a bloated mess and know he is a scumbag, it seems right.

    Beniot on the other hand was an amazing performer, his matches with Kurt Angle were spectacular. What he did to his family was beyond despicable.

    Whilst Spacey is not on my all time favourite list, I respect his body of work, the Usual Suspects, American Beauty etc.

To quote Gordon from V for Vendetta on why he keeps a Quran - "I don't have to be Muslim to find the images beautiful or the poetry moving."

I think in a sense, this applies here. A person can be admired for the ingenuity they apply to their craft--or indeed, the craft itself can admired, depending on what it is--without an association to his or her other deeds.
