Quote:I am in favour of letting them ruin their own businesses from the backlash rather than having the government mandate every action in life.
Quote:You just don't get it.
Quote:First off it is illegal. It discrimination.
Perhaps I should be more specific...I have seen the cases where a pink penis cake is demanded and when the shop said no they were attacked for it.
It's completely wrong to deny any one any rights based on their sexuality etc...they can complain all they like though.
Common sense should be the guideline but it never is. It just seems you are painting all "Christians" with the same broad strokes that non-tolerant racist Christians paint gays...see the difference? I don't think you are a non-tolerant racist anti-Christian but do you see how it could sound that way?
Quote:Second, What are you from a city right? If you go to get a pizza and they have a sign that says we dont serve gays you can go to another pizza place. But it isnt places in cities that would do this.
Been all over small towns to big cities, the north to the south. Racism is everywhere, sexism is everywhere. But it is not just cops/straight-Christian middle class whitey perpetrating acts of racism...it is sadly EVERYONE.
You realize many Christians are gay yes? What kind of position do you put them in when you attack their Christianity using their gay way of life?
Quote:It a pizza place in a small town that would put that sign up. And guess what they are the only pizza place in town and all their customers are homopobic too.
This is possibly a fair point...small towns can be quite insular and be anti-anything that's not part of their small vision of what the world is.
