While I admire this man's courage, AND his willingness to actually seek empirical evidence rather than simply listen to the scientifically illiterate nonsense provided by flat earthers on the internet, I find myself AMAZED that he hasn't realised that there are far easier, far less dangerous, and far less expensive ways of proving whether the Earth is flat or spherical.

Why doesn't he just hire an aircraft, head west, and keep on the same heading? He'll eventually fly over the airfield he took off from and he'll have his proof.

What an idiot.

He is probably going to die or it will not even go as planned. I am not sure what his thoughts are on this either, as if he got high enough to see anything he would be in even worse shape.

The growth of this movement, and others, is staggering. I am not sure I understand the skepticism of scientific work through time. Why do so many people feel like they must reinvent the wheel and then do a poor job of it.

Most of the time whenever one of these folks, be it flat Earth person, climate change denier, creationist, vaccine denier or what have you do anything approaching a reasonable test the results they get are pretty much what the scientific body of evidence already states.

Just figure they could better use their time and energy. Ideology and belief are not rational things though.

Speaking of this madness, I need to get back to my posts about various topics.

Look Raist bunnies...
