    Aurora, the Disney Princess, has been in popular culture for long enough (1959). Why give a damn if a bunch of 16th century scientists decided to name the phenomenon "aurora." Before that, Aurora was the Roman goddess of the dawn. It is the Roman word for "dawn." But yeah, I'd expect a parent to at least inform themselves, just for their own education. Most really don't though. Whatever.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised that the woman didn't know, but only a little.

    My sister named my niece something that I occasionally cringe about what's going to happen, but mostly, I think it's really a beautiful name. Her entire name, except for surname, is completely made up and has never been used by anyone, ever, in the history of history.

Come on, with that lead in, you have to tell us what this name is.
