I live a damned existence, because I have intensely dark thoughts about the people that killed my father about 50 years ago. They were never identified much less caught. The reason I am so damned is because every fiber of my being also will not accept there is ever a moral reason to kill, not even in self defense. At best, killing just adds more immorality.

But maybe one day I'll be more enlightened.

I understand and respect your views.

When in the army, there were people there who specifically said they joined, because they wanted to kill.

When I was called up to go to Iraq, I was in my late twenties and a couple of TA lads (part time) and said they were going to kill some terrorists. I chided them and one came back without his left foot.

We had a civilian worker, who we all had to go under a cement bunker. We were being mortared. There were another 2 squaddies who tried to kick him out 'for the leg room'. I stated he wasn't going anywhere.

For me to kill someone, it would have to be someone in my house in the middle of the night. I know I would be capable if I had the chance to do it.
