The problem is the Dems are taking everyone for granted. They spread themselves so thin covering every special interest group (well except for one), then talk about how divisive the Republicans are (which they are). Problem is they point fingers...when there are also fingers pointing back at them.

How about either party just talk about helping people period. Not the select group they think will get them more votes? personally that's what I want to hear.

Agreed. The issue is that even Dems tend to cut resources from these communities, so leveling the playing field would require channeling additional resources -- both for minority candidates (as a DNC political strategy) and for rebuilding broken and under-developed communities.

The end goal would be to treat and help everyone equally, as you said.

Look at Rahm Emmanuel in Chicago, who has a nasty habit of closing dozens of public schools in minority neighborhoods. He's basically the poster child of how Dems treat blacks with public resources.

Which is a huge problem. Education has such a huge impact on anyone's future no matter their race, sex or religion. And this is where the ball gets dropped so terribly by the US.

It's amazing how quality education reduces poverty, racism, hatred, and improves personal (and country wide) freedom's, equality, economy and empathy for your fellow human being.

It's not the only answer...but information (the un-biased truth) improves the human condition.
