Quote:May I ask why (specifically)?
The Marvel that I grew up with and loved was admittedly sometimes late and plagues with reprints, but the comics were very indidual and had strong creative visions. The comics that came out under Shooter struck me as bland and stodgy, as well as grotesquely overselling the mutant line (and I was originally a fan of Claremont's X-Men). After a few years of this, I not only stopped liking the COMICS, I even stopped caring about the CHARACTERS. DC has messed with their characters and continuity in many ways but, with the exception of Batman, I still maintain at least a vague interest in what they're doing and consider picking up a DC title. I have zero interest in any of the Marvel characters and still pretty much ignore the line.
