Although the Beach never seemed packed, I would go 80's over the Star Trek theme.

- I've got practically no adventuring spirit to speak of. I'd rather sit in a sealed temperature-controlled room than go anywhere. I don't even like vacations. So, exploring an infinite universe doesn't appeal to me.
- I don't even want to be around my colleagues when I'm at work. At best, they're a necessary evil. So, leading a team of them doesn't appeal.
- Family and friends, I tolerate... usually.
- Having to put up with "gamers" makes me cringe, but at least you say I can avoid them. Still, there's not enough enticement for that second option.

When I look at MMORPGs, the thing that interests me most is how detailed and varied I can make my avatar and not so much what I can do with the avatar. For the past year or so, my favourite "gaming" outlet has been Paragon Chat despite there being almost nothing to do. Paragon Chat is an XMPP chat program with a City of Heroes overlay. You've got the full power of the old CoH costume design to create your avatar, but it's just a chat program, so there's not much else to do. The game world/universe still exists in the nearly stagnant state it was at CoH's shutdown, but there are no MOBs to fight or interacting NPCs (for the most part). You get no super powers either, except for travel powers (for the most part).

City of Heroes is BACK!
