When I look at MMORPGs, the thing that interests me most is how detailed and varied I can make my avatar and not so much what I can do with the avatar. For the past year or so, my favourite "gaming" outlet has been Paragon Chat despite there being almost nothing to do. Paragon Chat is an XMPP chat program with a City of Heroes overlay. You've got the full power of the old CoH costume design to create your avatar, but it's just a chat program, so there's not much else to do. The game world/universe still exists in the nearly stagnant state it was at CoH's shutdown, but there are no MOBs to fight or interacting NPCs (for the most part). You get no super powers either, except for travel powers (for the most part).

They should use Champions costume generator...far better looking graphics.

Yeah, well, it's made and supported by CoH fans, who don't particularly care for Champions. It's one of the pseudo-pirate emulator groups (part of the CoHTitan.com fan community). The whole point of it comes from the fact CoH was shut down, and they (we) aren't happy about that. The general consensus of the community is that CoH had the better community and setting. But I do agree that the Champions Online graphics look better. Most don't seem to share my opinion on that, thinking Champions Online is too cartoony.

City of Heroes is BACK!
