Yeah, I can't really get it, because of my upbringing. America has it's own history. They took the land by force from the native americans. They used guns in the civil war to establish their independence. They have been brought up thinking the average citizen is a paramilitary force and is in effect 'a soldier' and this is in the constitution. The problem is, every person on here, probably thinks in a fight they could do alright. Due to the american's history with guns, a lot of people extend this to think that they are are combat orientated. There is an understandable, if not legitimate concern that taking the guns away would make these people impotent. Again, they don't need the automatic weapons, shotguns, rifles, pistols fine. There is then a legitimate argument, I spent thousands on getting military grade weapons, I'm not just going to hand these over and that IS a fair argument. Any deal would have to re-compensate that party. Moderator: Star Trek Board ''He stood alone at Gjallerbru... and that answer is enough.'' | |||||||
