I didn't know that, I think that information wasn't out when I posted that message.

But, yeah, that's bad. 4 armed and trained people, should have been able to take him down.

I am annoyed about this. The way american's say they need 'good guy's with guns'- they had 4 of them and they didn't do anything.

This isn't the wild west. Having a gun doesn't make you 'the right guy'.

They wouldn't have wanted to go in, because they would of heard automatic fire and they probably thought 'I'm not going in there'.

The fact that the police were screaming at the kids to get back in the building, shows some real cowardly fear IMO. They were more concerned with:

a) looking like they were doing something (the bare minimum)
b) absolutely petrified of the situation and willing to allow unarmed students to die, rather than try and safeguard them

These are the kind of guys who would have posed for photographs in their uniforms, but crunch time showed they had no business being in the job.

I don't want my reply to be a bashing of security forces and police but sometimes it just amazes me how terrible they are.

Here in Houston during one of our hurricanes we were literally told the police would not be helping with evacuations because it wasn't safe for the police.

I'll bet you 100 bucks they were writing speeding tickets up until the moment they decided to leave town to be safe, while people were dying on the highway because of traffic jams and heat.

If your paid to put your life on the line for others to serve and better be doing that imo. I also think those that hold up their end of that bargain deserve all the support this country can give them.
