There are some sensible ones, but most of what''s been suggested in terms of regulation has been tried before (Assault bans.) or ruled Unconstitutional. And certain guns are already banned and or made illegal. Also, even if there was a ban, it opens up the Black Market, because there are still currently quite a few people who own them and they can just sell them on the black market. I think that a better way is to cut out PRIVATE sales! Still, people who are determined to commit mass-murder will find another way to do it (Like cars or trucks.).

I really want to know where you are getting some of your numbers from.

The assault weapons ban did have some success but no rule works in a vacuum. And the ban was never rule unconstitutional. So, it is quite legal, the SCOTUS has refused to take up cases about state level bans, supporting this.

It is funny that we only really worry about the black market for guns. And make cases that criminals will break the law. Making guns harder for people to get would restrict access on the black market as well. And should act to drive up the price so it is harder to get them.

There are loads of issues with guns, but I am not sure I agree with you as to what is sensible. I am not really for a ban, but I am skeptical that (based on your opinions) you think any restrictions are needed or would do much of anything.
