I think that the Sherrif should, at the very least take some responsibility for the school shooting situation and for the department not following up on that tip about the shooter. Instead, at the CNN Town Hall, he was blaming the NRA and the gun laws, and THEN when he was questioned, he says that the only one responsible was the shooter. Hmmmm, what a switch! I think that it's pretty clear that the department COULD have done a better job. If they were called to his house 39 f-eng times, surely they could have charged him with SOMETHING! I think that he should get dismissed. In regards to the students who are pushing for tighter gun control and the like, I appreciate their anger and passion, and I hope that they don't give up. I'm certainly not going to criticize them and I do think that they're sincere. I do think that the media is doing a disservice to them, and I do feel that they're giving the kids pretty much Carte-Blanche to say anything and nobody can criticize them because of what they've been through. I think that there are other survivors and students out there who maybe have different feelings and or who just want to live life as best as they can (Their lives will never be the same, and they will NEVER be able to forget this!). This is more of a criticism of the media (Mostly CNN, who have been running with this nonstop.), but I really feel that some in the media are exploiting these kids. I just think that we should see all sides of this issue. I definitely don't think that 16 year olds should be able to legislate. That might sound cold, but it's really not, I'm just not sure if this trauma is being used by some to give them Carte Blanche (Saying that The NRA or politicians are responsible and child-murderers.). Thanks, guys.

Is the NRA really balmeless here? They have been fighting every sort of gun control for quite a while now. They are pretty much all about getting more guns out there or nothing at all and an absolutist version of the Second Amendment that is pretty dangerous.

And leave them alone. The fact that so many conservatives are going after the kids who are saying this sort of thing is bad. Going after their arguments is fine but there are too many attacks on the teens, their age and so on. They can have views just like anybody else and they should probably count for more.

I would tie back to the fact that the quality of information on guns is poor. A recent review of gun measures reflects that pretty startling. And that is a fair bit on the NRA and their lawmaker friends that restrict those studies.

As for the sheriff. I honestly do not know enough about what happened down there with that situation. Or at least not a complete picture. If what I generally heard was true than probably should step down.

Look Raist bunnies...
