It makes it illegal to pay either sex less for working the same hours in the same position.

And it has loopholes up the wazoo and breaches are notoriously difficult to prove legally. Considerations of skill, merit, and seniority all allow for a large degree of subjective wage decisions. If you believe everyone in the same company in the same position is paid exactly the same, you're believing a lie. I'm a manager. I know the salaries of the people who work under me. Those salaries are dictated by Human Resources, not me. They are not all the same for the same position.

Did you read some of the reasons listed in the article? Among the reasons are Men being more likely to ask for a raise, men being able to relocate, men willing to work longer hours, take less vacation time, and a few other reasons. There's not proof that this exists due to sexism, although in some cases it is doubtlessly there. Oh yeah, also- Motherhood!

Did you read what I wrote? I stated that part of the article was correct, but it still failed to acknowledge that there is a wage gap as well.

As to Hollywood, do you know who pretty much runs and controls the adult film and porn industry? And did you know that the large majority of custody cases end in sole custody for the women? Sounds like they might not be lagging behind in everything.

Straw man. I never said women lagged behind in everything.

And can you give examples of a law that is completely foolproof and that nobody can find a loophole in?

How is that wrong? I'm not seeing how it's bad or wrong to pay someone with a higher skill level or more years under their belt more?

It sounds like the HR department is doing something illegal. Have you considered going to a congressman or a legal authority (SERIOUSLY! Absolutely not kidding here.).

Straw man. I never said women lagged behind in everything.>

But men clearly lag behind them in certain things as well, no?
