    Have you ever been asked to leave a business for not buying anything?

Never. And I've never seen anyone asked to leave a business for not buying anything. Coffee shops in particular don't give a damn wherever I've been.

There is one restaurant in New Orleans (a tourist trap sort of place) that is known for a very strict policy. It's a kind of diner setting, and everyone who sits is required to order something, and customers only have a few minutes after they're done until they're asked to leave. There's nothing really comfortable about the entire place, but the food is good for diner stuff.

Generally, however, New Orleans is extremely pro-loitering.

I've seen people asked to leave for disturbing the peace, but it has to be especially bad.

Also, except for service stations, I've never been in a business that locks bathrooms.
