At his age, it might not even be worth it to put him in prison. Maybe House Arrest would be more humane. One thing is for sure, I certainly wont't be checking out the Cosby show when they have the re-runs. I can't ever look at the show the same way anymore. This whole thing is sad all the way around.
This is weird. I was hoping he'd be found guilty because I believe he is guilty. But I've always loved Cosby. I grew up in a white Irish neighborhood in Boston in the 70's and 80's and, yes, there was a great deal of racist sentiments. But everyone liked Cosby. He was a U-Mass grad. All the kids in the late 70's liked Fat Albert. Bill Cosby: Himself was a very popular cable special. I still think it's hilarious. The Cosby Show was must watch TV. He made inner city black culture a part of white American kids' Saturday morning viewing. He showed a successful non-dysfunctional black family to white America. I think he was embraced by white America more than almost anyone. But he was a rapist. It's so sad.
And I think the saddest thing is that he truly believes he didn't do anything wrong.
