Fair enough. I don't believe everybody would do that, either, just most. Maybe you're an exception and good for you - to be perfectly honest, I have no problems with what you believe in, one way or another. But it's annoying when atheists start putting themselves on a pedestal and get preachy and whiny like they have nothing better to do than mope all day, going out of their way to debate every chance they get. It just seems so teenager and petty.

It's a topic that SHOULD be debated, questioned and subjected to criticism at every available opportunity, and I will ALWAYS take the opportunity to do so. Yes I have better, or at least more immediate things that I need to do so I do go out of my way, and no, taking a snotty tone (teenager and petty) will never deter me from it.

The list I wrote on the negative impact of religion should be reason enough, but the consequences of not doing so may be harsh indeed. Just look to any Islam dominated country to see what happens when religion is above criticism.

By the way, as an atheist who's often accosted on street corners by the religious, I love the irony of you describing us as 'preachy' \:\)
