Nice points, Visitor. I wasn't aware of that one but it's pretty compelling by itself.

Thanks HammerTime. I suspect there aren't as many references in the Bible regarding Lesbianism simply because this behavior among women wasn't nearly as common proportionally compared to men. Men have stronger sex drives (lust) therefore more passages of it being mentioned in the Bible.

The biblical verses regarding this are very straightforward. There are ambiguity scriptures in the Bible however the act of homosexuality is not open to interpretation. God made a special point (abomination) to emphasize his disgust of the act. His message is crystal clear.

However remember Jesus sole purpose was to save all sinners from themselves, not just homosexuals.

I've stayed silent in this forum for quite some time. I generally don't like to discuss politics or religion but do enjoy reading others viewpoints on sensitive issues.

not just homosexuality.

The same original word is translated slightly differently but eating Pork, shellfish, practicing witchcraft, murder, sinful sacrifice...

The KJV of the Bible indicates "And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you."

A fun little article that covers it.

I do not think that homosexuality is condoned in the Bible, but it is not really discussed too much. The New Testament does not focus on it much compared to Jesus's other teachings.

I do not recall many of Jesus's famous sermons where he goes at homosexuals. Given his track record in the Bible, he would be more likely to welcome them into the flock than anything else. He does so with prostitutes and others that have been outcast or committed sins.

It is in there but there are a number of things condemned that modern Christians do not pay much mind to, what makes homosexuality special then?

Look Raist bunnies...
