I know ideally people are supposed to consult a range of sources for accurate news. But most of us do not have the time or desire to really check more than a couple. And so many sources are heavily biased nowadays.

So, what are your primary news sources and why? Which ones do you despise?

For me, it is Reuters followed by BBC. They tend to be the leaset biased in both headlines, stories, and wording of said stories. They usually stick to the facts. Sometimes I will check Fox News, Yahoo or CNN because they sometimes carry stories others do not or get different point of views.

As to ones I do not trust or despise it is pretty much all American ones. Whether it be conservative or liberal both have proven to be so biased I do not trust them.

I'm Canadian, so CBC and CTV are my go-to's. I respect the BBC immensely. I really don't trust any of the major US networks. I think their primary goal is to entertain, not to report, and I've seen a lot of political bias. That political bias is fine in commentaries, but terrible in purported news stories. In Grade 4 we were taught to distinguish fact from opinion, and a lot of what I see on US news stations - well, it doesn't pass the Grade 4 fact test.

I trust anything on Facebook least of all. I've lost a lot of respect for friends that I used to consider intelligent, when they forward or post obviously fake or biased "news." Since I formerly thought of them intelligent, I now wonder if they are perpetuating falsehoods deliberately to bring the less intelligent over to their political spectrum.
