I thought Trump's speech was outstanding and deserved an A+ tonight. I was appalled by Stacey Abrams response speech afterward. She sounded like nothing but a puppet from the liberal news media who was told to say nothing but bull shit. She reminds me of someone very famous.

Abrams, the first African American woman to give the official rebuttal, cast the recent government shutdown as a “stunt” by Trump. She dismissed the critique by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) of a proposed voting overhaul from Democrats. And she accused the GOP of disregarding or failing to understand average Americans.

“America is made stronger by the presence of immigrants, not walls,” Abrams said, referring to Trump’s determination to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

As Democrats seek to elevate fresh faces, women and minorities, Abrams is a woman of color who has never held federal office and does not currently hold an elected position.

She took aim at the recent government shutdown, which polls suggest was unpopular with the public.

“The shutdown was a stunt engineered by the president of the United States, one that defied every tenet of fairness and abandoned not just our people — but our values,” Abrams said.

Stacey Abrams said that the hopes of American families are being "crushed" by Republican political leadership in the Democratic response to President Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night.

The failed candidate for Georgia governor and possible 2020 Senate candidate touched on themes that were key to her bid last year, including economic and racial justice and voting rights.

She had the nerve to stand there and say all that trash. She does not understand that it was many "average Americans" who voted for Trump. She sounded like a liberal who wants open borders and more rights for ILLEGAL immigrants in my opinion. Lets hope she never gets elected to any office. It is liberals like her that make me so proud to wear my MAGA Hat and say BUILD THE WALL.

I thought that Trump did not even believe his own words on many issues. The attempt to rebrand as a great unifier is a bit of a joke that he seemed to even sneer at.

The only areas I think he has a shot at are the healthcare transparency (would not help cost as much as he thinks), HIV prevention (would require access to health insurance, healthcare and research) and potentially prescription prices.

The others may run into problems with his own party. Like infrastructure spending and the crime thing.
