Not really, you change the topic. Not once have you actually defended your initial point.

Where are you getting any evidence that this WILL happen? On any sort of scale. You found a hypothetical and are overstating it based on your biases.

Dude.. The New York law was literally just passed two weeks ago (January 22). Be patient and wait for the data to come in.

You made a leap that because it says health that doctors will start aborting babies whenever for various reasons. Is there anything that indicates that other than fear mongering?

It's legitimate fear mongering because you haven't debunked me, and I'm challenging you to do that. How is my "hypothetical" as you call it illegal?

    Quote:
And me admitting that there are bad doctors out there is like admitting there are bad police officers or whatever. The vast majority of doctors take all factors into the matter before deciding things with the patient.

No. Bad police officers go punished. Bad doctors performing under vague laws do not, so they continue to practice.

    Quote:
Which is the right thing to do.

Prove to me there is a problem and I might agree with you. Is there evidence at the moment that this a major problem? Other than you being mad at NY for changing the wording of the law a bit. The main thing it did was change the criminal penalty.

I proved where the law was loosened. If you would like to see the effects, we'll have to wait until the data comes in. Fair enough?

You know, your argument is really elementary. If the law was changed tomorrow that I could murder my neighbor over a yard dispute, I could easily substitute your tactic and say that people are generally good-natured and wouldn't do such a thing. And to support my position, I could then challenge anyone having a problem with me to show me proof that the activity occurred, and only then would I listen.

I proved to you that the law changed. But not having proof of the resulting activity does not lessen how disturbing the change of law was.
