Understood. The thing about the radical left, though, is that they make blanket accusations (i.e., Republicans are Nazis, white supremacists, bigots, etc., etc.) and so it becomes personal when they behave this way.
Conservatives do the same thing. Claiming everyone on the other side of the aisle is a Communists, terrorists, socialists, or that they hate America.
It is a problem both sides of the political have decided that it is okay.
Saying, "but...they do it" is childish. And practiced by too many people.
As someone who lives in a politically diverse part of the country, I am aware not every conservative is a racist or liberal is a commie. IN fact... most don;t fit either bill.
I also know both sides love claiming the other is.
At the end of the day you decide how you will act.
That post was just you making excuses. Everyone needs to hit the breaks, and stop pretending like the actions of others makes their behavior acceptable.
We had four years of political one-ups-manship, where everyone made excuses for their side based on what someone else was doing.
The truth is, when people degrade to that level...and art least have nothing to back it up... it means they have nothing to back up their position.
When two sides do it, it means people are more interested int eh fight than the solution.

It’s not the same. Calling people:
-Nazis, white supremacists, KKK, bigots, fascists, terrorists
vs.
- Communists, socialists, Marxists, snowflakes, terrorists
It’s clear which one is more egregious (and more magnified by the media). Your side has the advantage on this but you argue that it’s equal.
