I hit the wrong switch and deleted my reply when I sought to edit it and am being a bit lazy about restoring.

I made a comment about reading an article in the last few days where the opinion writer cynically says arm all the kids, that would stop school shootings.

The arguments around this debate to me are pretty stupid and just boil down to not valuing life much or not in the right way.

I think the AG of Texas recently was quoted as saying something like criminals will break gun laws so what is the point. A tride and true talking point by those with this view.

It is also one of the dumbest logically. As since gun laws do not prevent 100% of gun crimes they are worthless. But by extension no law prevents 100% of an activity through prevention at all. Does that mean that all laws are worthless and should be done away with? I doubt the AG thinks that in all issues or he would be an anarchist.
