Dude, come off of calling other posters ignorant or uninformed. Being informed does not mean you have heard every option under the sun. We should all have the desire to discover new things.
Being insulting is hardly a way to help anybody. I have listed things throughout the thread that I would see done. Does not mean they would work or anything else though.
And I am pretty sure that the odds of getting anything through the current political system are slim. Why? Because I follow the news.
Heck, you have told me in the past that just getting something done that can get through does not mean it will work or do anything. And I agree. I doubt the GOP in Congress is going to give much help and I doubt the courts are going to help.
Does that mean I am absolutely certain? No, but in most situations it for sure would be a longshoot.
Quote:I would say for one Biden should be putting hid full throated support behind certain effort and further TRY to use EOs and pressure from the Justice Department and let the Republicans try to stop you. The idea that you don't think there's a difference politically to the public between trying and failing vs not trying because it's too hard is just sort of silly. We know 100% of the things Biden doesn't try aren't going to succeed.
This is idealistic. It would be similar to my own preference of approach but that does not mean it will work. I would rather him throw all sorts of options out there. No question.
But my expectation would still be they were doomed.
Fact is not everybody pays attention to what goes on in Washington or give credit to actions. As the effects may happen long after the fact and no credit given.
Folks tune out the president after decades of both sides are bad and somebody should do something.
The noise of those saying all actions are bad will drown things out.
And those are just some political headwinds not counting legislative action probably needing to break a filibuster and the GOP having no incentive to help. And even if they go reconciliation it does not mean it would get to the point of action with just needing one judge to stop it.
Call me skeptical that it moves the needle much politically and rises above the standard noise let alone the inertia of Washington.
Look Raist bunnies...
