I'm not saying you're generally ignorant.   I'm saying you're very specifically ignorant of left discourse.  It isn't purely ideological or a matter of disagreement.  Over and over again you respond as if not familiar with arguments that I make which are pretty much dem soc 101.  I know, because I'll often say here some shit that any card caring leftist thinks and you react as if it's the first you've heard of it.  It's not an insult.  It's just a matter of your political education.  Not better or worse,  just different.   As we're talking you're not for instance bringing up the idea of the government buying  up massive gas supply and selling it at a lower rate.  You're not engaging with it on the basis of long standing familiarity which has lead you to different conclusions.  Correct me if I'm wrong,  but it seems like you're only now hearing about it.

You could have fooled me with nearly most responses.

I have told you a couple of times now that I am hardly all knowing and would never claim to be so. You exist in different spheres than I do and that is fine. I honestly enjoy hearing views I know little about, but do not enjoy the "You obviously have no idea what is going on" or similar as a lead in. It makes it confrontational from the get go.

Yes, I am familiar with that measure. It is like the national stockpile of various things. I just do not see it as a solution to a problem as it is happening. It is more hedging against future problems and I am fully supportive of it.

My skepticism is that little can be done in the near term. I think alot can be done in the long term and to me that is more frustrating with the current administration or to be frank any administration we have had in a while.

It is partly because of political BS making things nearly impossible but on the whole the US (since I live there) is far to reactionary and no enough preparatory. And when it is not enough credit is given when a crisis is limited or avoided. Partly because how do you "market" something not happening.
