I'd also say that "making Trump ineligible" should not be anyone's goal. Hold him accountable? Yes. Investigate the documents situation thoroughly? Yes. Charge anyone (yes, even Trump) if the evidence shows they are guilty? Yes. But making him ineligible to run for office should be a possible outcome of the investigation, never the goal.

Sure, I mean I think that probably should happen but if we are considering him held accountable I think it gets tricky.

Legally, from my understanding, making somebody unable to run for office may be complicated for the presidency since being a felon is not disqualifying in the Constitution. One can argue that it was probably understood but it is not in there and would be challenged, since some statutes say it disqualifies based on the crime etc.

It would be another drawn out legal battle. One would hope that if he is indicted and found guilty and punished than it would probably turn alot of voters off of him but who knows with Trump. He is a pseudo religious figure to some.

Really, Congress had their chance and could have taken those actions after Jan. 6th but too many in the GOP were cowards about it and made very flimsy excuses.

Ironically, if the GOP retakes the House it is almost assured that the GOP impeaches Biden on very flimsy grounds because they see any slight to Trump as a crime. Not to say Biden does not deserve criticism but the articles I saw last were not impeachable offenses in any way.

Look Raist bunnies...
