Can we just call them 'wealthy people through passed down wealth respected for some reason' now?

Oh, I think the monarchy is on the way out. It might take another twenty years, but their days are numbered. Charles isn't respected at all.

Elizabeth was a unique phenomenon. We won't see her like again. Nor did we ever see her like before. No hard power at all, yet a surprising amount of soft power, fueled entirely by her dignity, honor, gentleness, and genuine humility.

Respect is earned, not automatically granted. King Charles has some big shoes to fill and we will see how he handles things. His reign has really only just begun and he is also still processing his grief. Let's not jump on him just yet.

One of the first things he needs to do is sit down with his sons and work things out.

But yes I agree the Monarchy's days are numbered and change will occur.
