        Also have to give it to Kurt Russell. He ran rings around Chris Pratt with superior acting.


        As a Chris Pratt fan...he really seemed off this movie.

    Yeah, he was unusually subdued here.


      I can't quite put my finger on it but he's usually really fun to watch. I don't think the script played to his goofy strengths

    His role here was that of a child, but he played Quill almost as if he were 13-years old despite the character being an adult.

I suppose, and maybe I am simply over defensive since I enjoyed it, but that is sort of his deal in a respect.

He lost his mom young and many of his pleasures are related to those memories. Getting his dad brought out a large number of boyish things.

I will agree that the humor was along those lines, but to be fair, it is not like there are no competent adults that would not say they would do goofy things with godlike power.

He was, seemingly, less mature than the original, but even then he was pretty goofy.
