Quote:As in, FINISHED! I know that he is going to be doing another Infinity book or trilogy, and I think that he just keeps cranking them out at this point. It's kind of sad. How many has he done at this point? I thought that the one with Annihulus was going to be his final word on the character, and his final say. I know that Jim created Thanos (Or is that Co-Created? I heard some controversy about that.), but he's gone to the well too many times at this point, and he seems to be repeating himself. I consider Starlin to be possibly the GREATEST cosmic writer for Marvel ever, but I think that after Thanos Quest, The End, The Infinity Gauntlet, his work on The Thanos series before Annihilation, and all of the other Infinity and Thanos stories that he did, that he had his say (More than, at this point.). Also, he seems to write Thanos as the Bestest and most powerful character ever, who can either beat or outsmart anyone, and that gets kind of annoying. So, he did so,easy great work, but it's time to move on.
I wish he would quit doing Thanos as well.
Almost all Thanos stories since the 90's seem to follow this outline:
1. Thanos is the smartest person in the room blah blah blah
2. Adam Warlock is the ultimate outsider and has some sort of cosmic significance yadda yadda
3. Everyone in the story that is not Thanos or Adam Warlock is irrelevant
4. Thanos and Adam Warlock begrudgingly team up to fight some menace that one or both of them created
