Starlin has talked for sometime of getting a Dreadstar TV show going.

But the adventures he had in the Milky Way with Aknaton and crew could easily be a season. Then the next one starts with him on Caldor and meeting Syzygy and ends with him getting into the war for Season 3.

Dreadstar was a great series up until the end of Lord Papal. After that, it had no real direction. Anyway, for a tv series to do it justice would require a huge budget - like Game of Thrones level, which it isn't going to get.

Well after the Lord Papal and Vanth recovering from that we did get an interesting aftermath that showed how things had changed and not quite for the better.

After that, Starlin began to step aside to write other things but he did resume the writing to wrap up Syzygy Darklock.

Under Peter David they became wandering intergalactic adventurers with some direction and some humor. Almost felt like a precursor to Firefly.
